I’m Jessie
An Analytical Creative
Definition of Analytical Creative
A person that gets joy out of working within restrictions and utilizing data to find effective unique solutions to complex problems.
All that to say, I am a creative who uses data to guide the project. Knowing the baseline of a project and goals that need to be reached provides the runway for me to explore.

Advisory Innovation Designer
IBM | Client Engineering
Atlanta, Ga. | July 2021 - Present
In my role at IBM Client Engineering, I bring a human-centric approach to complex technical solutions for my travel and transportation clients. As a project leader, I manage multiple projects that helped clients in their transformation journey through application modernization, expanding business automation tools, leveraging AI and Machine learning, and adopting hybrid cloud platforms.
Utilizing my background in UX, I create prototypes, system flows, and storyboards to showcase the business and user value of IBM’s solutions. I have facilitated over 25 workshops in under 2 years, leveraging my skills in design thinking. Additionally, I created technology-specific patterns to help scale design solutions across projects.
At the end of 2021, I received a community leader award and was promoted to an advisory role. I contributed to the community through 4+ initiatives. I collaborated with designer leads to redefine the designer's role with in the organization. Finally, I trained and mentored new innovation designers on methodology and best practices.

Jenkins Creative was a small agency and so I held both design and managerial responsibilities. This covered anything from leading creative pitch meetings to designing work for clients. Near the end of my time at Jenkins, I took on most of the digital responsibilities, such as fine-tuning CSS and content on WordPress sites and managing contract developers.

Intern
Lemon Strategy and Branding Design
Pune, Maharashtra, India | May - July 2013
Through the design program at GSU, I had the opportunity to intern abroad. I worked and lived in Pune, a medium-sized city in India. At Lemon, I discovered the parallels and differences between cross-cultural and international design aesthetics. This broaden my perspective and helped me overcome personal biases based on my personal and cultural background.
Life outside of UX
TL:DR: I’m a proud Atlantian and a big fantasy nerd. I’d love to talk to you about recipes, restaurants, dancing, cats, Frenchies, or all of the above! Just reach out
I was born outside of Chicago, though I have spent the majority of my life in the south, specifically Georgia. This means I say “you guys” instead of “y’all” and “pop” instead of “soda”. As well as. I know what it means to live below the gnat line and love a Sunday brunch.
I’m proud to call Atlanta home and I love exploring new restaurants, going to concerts, and seeing how fast Atlanta changes. I truly believe one of the best times of the year is when it’s DragonCon weekend. Costumes! Makeup! All the creativity brings me so much happiness.
At home, I try out one new recipe a week. Specifically, I love challenging myself by cooking traditional Indian dishes after my time in India. When not cooking I’m drawing on the couch cuddling with one of my furbabies: our orange tabby Martin, or the newest addition to the family, a quirky Frenchie named Cosmo “The Potato”.
